The Social Thirties came from Courtney's own experience of loneliness and wanting to meet new people. It turned out she wasn't the only one.

After moving cities and realising how hard adult friendships had become, Courtney posted on Facebook asking if anyone else fancied brunch with strangers. A handful of women said yes. Then a few more. Then a lot more.
What started with that one brunch has grown into a community of thousands of women across the UK — brunches, dinners, a Monday night run club, a book club, big days at the races and, yes, the occasional goat yoga session.
"I just wanted somewhere you could turn up on your own and leave with plans for next weekend. Turns out a lot of us did."
Everyone arrives alone. No cooler-than-thou table in the corner. We've deliberately designed out the awkward arrival moment.
Place cards, ice-breakers, rotations — little details that make it easy for conversation to happen without anyone having to be "on".
This isn't networking and it's not about being "out there". It's about finding your people — when it matters most.
Revolutionising friendship: how The Social Thirties is fostering social community for women across Warwickshire and beyond.
